Denise Rudy is a lifelong artist specializing in painting and collage. With a background in art education from Ohio University, a BA in Social Science, and a certificate in Expressive Healing Arts from the University of Florida, Denise Rudy has spent decades fostering creativity as a full-time Associate Professor and Department Chair at a Palomar Community College. In addition to teaching, she has led expressive art workshops and a seven-week class based on The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, helping others tap into their artistic potential. Now dedicating more time to her personal artistic practice, Denise creates intricate collage portraits using only paper and glue. Her work explores the depth of human emotion, storytelling, and the beauty found in layering textures and colors to form striking compositions. With a foundation in social science and expressive healing arts, Denise believes in the transformative power of creativity, both as a personal practice and a means of connection. Committed to continuous growth and community engagement, she seeks opportunities for artistic immersion and collaboration. As she transitions into full-time artistry, her focus remains on expanding the possibilities of collage, pushing creative boundaries, and sharing their passion for art with a wider audience.
